I am a recently divorced woman and I am trying to adjust to how much my finances have taken a hit as a result. While my ex-husband is not rich, he was able to keep me in a lifestyle where I never had to worry about not being able to afford anything. My sister and I are supposed to be going on holiday together next month and I am a little worried about overspending. I was thinking that we should get one of those Holiday Apartments instead of staying at a hotel. That way we would save money on expensive hotel rates and we would not have to eat out as much. She says that is an option, but that she feels it will take away from the experience. I have to take stock of my finances and see if I can afford not to consider the idea of getting an apartment.
